Thanks for joining us for another edition of our interview series, Unveiling Layers. Today, we’re joined by the beautiful Ivy Quinn, an Amsterdam escort, as we get to know the woman behind the profile.

Tell us a little about yourself. How would you describe the woman behind the profile?

A Londoner now living in The Netherlands, I retired from a technical role in the film industry in 2020 so I'm geekier than people most expect. My great loves in this lifetime are pleasure, nature & community. When I'm not working you can find me in the woods, people watching with pannenkoeken with my loved ones in the city or spending time with my pet parrots (if you've seen my social media you'll be very familiar with them!)

How did you first find your way into the industry?

I used to have a vanilla career in the film industry as I said, but behind closed doors I was always a little bit of a hedonist. This natural inclination towards pleasure lead me to meeting some of my best female friends who do this job, which piqued my interest. 

When the film industry started looking uncertain I decided to pursue what I lovingly refer to as my 'second great passion', helping people discover their true desires & connection. It really is an honor to teach, give & receive pleasure to others.

Do you remember your very first booking? What was going through your mind?

I do, most notably because he was absolutely stunning, as in textbook my type which I don't meet very often so I was a little surprised! Everyone is a little nervous the first time they meet someone new, anyway, but we clicked so quickly that I lost track of time & enjoyed it as much as he did. 

Since then I've been so lucky to repeat this experience with others who I'm equally attracted to and/or just click with instantly, one of the best parts of this job is meeting so many interesting people & building connections with them.

Has this career changed your confidence or the way you see yourself?

I actually take greater care of my physical wellbeing now. It's a very physical job & because we always want to give our best I have to ensure I'm rested, eating well & on top form when I go to my bookings so we both have the best time possible.

I've always been quite confident & comfortable in my own skin but this job has certainly increased that feeling also.

What's the biggest green flag you notice in a potential client?

They read your whole ad & reply succintly with all the requested info! It's so simple but it shows us you're giving as much time & thought to this encounter as we are & that makes for a great booking.

How much work actually goes into maintaining your brand that clients never see?

That's something that we don't talk about enough! I see a pervasive myth online that our job is somehow 'easy' or 'lazy' & all I can think is, we all do: marketing, copywriting, social media management & engagement, photography, website & SEO work, most are own personal assistants managing our time & all this is before we even head out to a booking! We live in an age where active social media accounts are a non-negotiable so you're always thinking keeping on top of that whilst managing your in person encounters.

What’s your favorite way to relax and recharge after a long week?

Anyone who's met me knows I'm a nature gal. I grew up in the countryside in England & a huge factor for moving to The Netherlands was the beautiful nature. So for me it's woodland walks, maybe a beach swim (even in the winter) & then relaxing with my beloved pet parrots at home.

Is there a game, book, blog, tv show, or movie that has had a major impact on your life?

I think like many millennial workers from the UK the Billy Piper series based on the Belle Du Jour books, Diary of a Call Girl had a significant impact. I met my first mentor in the job a few years after this was released & she absolutely had a similar life to Belle, the glamorous side & the often funny & sweet side. 

I'm also a huge history nerd & The Wolf Den Trilogy by Elodie Harper that charts a Pompeii worker as she climbs to the heights of being a notorious courtesan for the elite has some startling similarities to working the higher end of our industry today.

The beauty product I swear by is: Retinol & SPF (my Irish skin cannot cope without either!) 

The nicest place I've ever traveled to is: Kyiv at Christmas, ridiculously picturesque in the twinkling snow, like something out of a novel.

My favorite guilty pleasure is: watching online debates, so silly but so entertaining 

My favorite food is: Thai Green curry

My perfect date would include: secluded spa time, maybe with some time spent in the pool together then retiring to a plush suite when we can't keep our hands off each other any longer.
