Unveiling Layers: In Conversation with Washington DC Escort Caris Quinn

Thanks for joining us for our interview series, ‘Unveiling Layers.’ Today, we’re joined by the beautiful Washington, D.C. escort Caris Quinn.

How did you first enter the industry, and how has your journey evolved since then?

I entered the industry by way of sugaring. I was an SB for about 3 years, and around that time, sugaring was becoming too mainstream and overrun by scammers on both the SB and SD sides.

Plus, I was very direct about how I wanted my SB/SD relationship to be. Since the sugaring sites were letting any guy with a dollar and a nefarious wish on there, and they didn't know or care to know how a truly mutually beneficial relationship would work, they were offended that I was so direct, and often my profiles were reported. The response was that I moved like a "pro." So, since sugaring was turning to salting, I transitioned into escorting.

I have learned more about myself and true body autonomy. I learned to trust my intuition more and that not all money is good money. I think that has helped me navigate this business more safely.

What is something clients can do that immediately makes you feel comfortable and appreciated?

Respect my boundaries and protocols. Gifting me.

What is one thing you wish more people understood about the work you do?

I wish people would understand that I chose this work. I love doing this. I love meeting clients and building connections with them. Plus, it pays well.

Do you enjoy touring? If so, which cities have given you some of your favorite experiences?

I rarely tour far from my home base, as my home/family situation kind of limits that. I can say the best experiences I've had with clients have brought me to their city or town.

Earlier this year, a client brought me to Atlanta, and I had a blast. I hadn't been in a long time, and it was nice to visit. Also, one of my favorite experiences was when a client brought me to his small mountain town in Pennsylvania. It was absolutely beautiful there, and the people were so friendly.

What are some of your favorite hobbies or interests outside of work?

Right now, I am back to album collecting. I've always had an interest in popular music, music history, and music production. This year, it has been heavily sparked by the Michael biopic movie that was released earlier this year.

This past June, I bought a turntable and replaced the Michael albums I had in my youth. From there, I have raided my mom's record collection and bought from local record shops, and now my collection is up to about 20 albums. I'm always looking to add more.

I also love to read. I keep my library card very active. I'm a fan of non-fiction and biographies. Once in a while, I'll enjoy a hot romance novel.

I hate to be cliché, but I started Pilates last fall, and I like it. I take about 2–3 classes a week. I am basically looking to get a bit more toned and increase my range of motion. I'm not seeking the quintessential "Pilates body." I'll never be that slim in my life. I like my curves.

What advice would you give someone who is new to the industry?

Have fun and be as authentic as you can safely be. But also, have body autonomy. Know your non-negotiables and boundaries and stick to them. Not all money is good money.

Also, a lot of what you end up knowing is through doing, and it can't be found in a book or on the internet. Just be smart and safe. I know it may sound corny, but have an abundance mindset. If you conduct yourself from a place of lack, you're not going to have the best outcomes.

Do you find that there is a type of client who seeks you out, who you really enjoy seeing?

I don't know if I have a specific type who sees me. I see clients from all backgrounds and professions. Every time I think I have figured out what my specific clientele is, a new client comes through and shakes that up.

Basically, in general, I would say they are pretty chill, relaxed guys. Easygoing, funny, and very smart guys. Often very generous. They do enjoy engaging conversations with me.

I've had quite a few dates where conversing takes up more time than "getting fancy." That's why I encourage booking longer dates with me.
