Nima Nin

I have always been drawn to beauty, but never the obvious kind. I come from fashion and have spent much of my life around artists, designers, musicians and people who make unusual things. It has made me curious about people, attentive to detail and very comfortable moving between different worlds. 

Spanish based in Barcelona and frequently drawn back to Paris, though I tend to think of myself as open to wherever curiosity takes me. I love old clothes with a history, beautiful hotels, opera and electronic music, art, flowers, long conversations and places with a strong sense of atmosphere. I can be elegant and composed, but there is also something playful and unconventional underneath, I like that contradiction. 

What interests me most is chemistry, I enjoy the gradual pleasure of getting to know someone by discovering what makes him laugh, what he notices, what he rarely says aloud. I am naturally curious and a good listener, and I am particularly drawn to men who have something to teach me — a world, an obsession, a story, a way of seeing things I haven’t encountered before. 

I prefer encounters with enough time to actually enjoy one another. A beautiful dinner, an exhibition, an evening at the opera, drinks somewhere we can disappear into conversation, a few days in another city or simply the privacy to forget about everything outside the room for a while. Sensuality matters to me, but so does everything that leads to it. 

Discretion comes naturally to me. I have a full life of my own and respect that you do too. I am equally at ease in a grand hotel, a small restaurant only locals know, an opening, or somewhere entirely private. In public, there is nothing to explain. We are simply two people enjoying each other’s company; whatever exists between us belongs to us. 

I appreciate thoughtfulness more than performance. A flower, a book you think I would like, something beautiful you noticed and remembered, small gestures tell me a great deal about a person. Above all, I value generosity of spirit, curiosity, good manners and the delicious possibility that the first encounter may not be the last.
